Aleksandar specializes in dispute resolution, restructuring/insolvency, real estate, mergers & acquisitions, IT law, and banking and finance law.

Aleksandar has played key roles on some of the most complex restructuring, M&A, and real-estate deals in Serbia, and he has represented some of the largest and most respected businesses in the world, as well as banks, international organizations, governments, state-owned entities, startups, and NGOs.

Experience:

Aleksandar’s comprehensive experience includes advising and assisting both buyers and sellers in complex M&A and real estate transactions. Recently, he advised a foreign company on a complex transaction involving the EUR 25 million sale of its Serbian assets to a multinational company, represented a Serbian company in a dispute valued at EUR 4 million, and advised Eyemaxx Real Estate in a real estate transaction valued at approximately EUR 15 million, as well as advising Eyemaxx Real Estate AG in the pledge of its Serbia-based properties as collateral for a EUR 10 million loan.

Aleksandar has significant experience in the mining sector as well, including, recently, advising clients on the potential acquisition of two Balkan mines and on other day-to-day mining business operations. He has also helped companies in the energy sector such as EON and ENEL obtain energy permits.

He acted as a key legal advisor to the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in their recovery of over EUR 90 million from Koncern Farmakom MB, one of the largest agriculture, metal processing, and mining businesses in Serbia, via an insolvency procedure.

Aleksandar also advised the IFC in an out-of-court restructuring of its claim against the Victoria Group – the largest Serbian agricultural company – worth a total of over EUR 50 million.
